What is Finnfabrik?
Finnfabrik is a Finnish marketplace and auction platform that connects buyers and sellers.
Finnfabrik acts as a technical platform and does not sell products itself or act as a party in transactions between buyers and sellers.
Buying on Finnfabrik
Buying on Finnfabrik is easy and transparent:
- Browse products or auctions
- Add a product to your cart or place a bid in an auction
- Complete your purchase at checkout
🔔 Please note: Bids placed in auctions are binding, and the winner of an auction is obligated to pay for the product.
Payments
Buyers' payments are processed through a third-party payment service provider, such as Stripe (via WooPayments).
- Available payment methods may vary
- Finnfabrik does not guarantee the availability of a specific payment method
Delivery and Pickup
Finnfabrik primarily operates on a pickup-based model.
- Buyer and seller agree on pickup or possible delivery between themselves
- Any delivery costs and terms are always stated in the product information
Returns and Cancellations
Returns and cancellations are handled directly by the seller in accordance with Finnish consumer protection law.
- Consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal, unless a legal exception applies
- Auction items, custom-made products, and certain specialty items may not be returnable
- Always contact the seller before returning a product

Selling on Finnfabrik
Sellers on Finnfabrik are businesses and sole traders.
- Products are added through the seller's control panel
- All products are first published as a standard sales listing
Creating an Auction
Sellers can create auctions directly from their seller panel.
How to create an auction:
- Go to the seller panel → Add new product
- Select "Auction" as the product type
- Set a starting price (required)
- Set a reserve price (optional – the product will not be sold if this price is not met)
- Set the auction duration (recommended 7–14 days)
- Publish the listing
⚠️ Please note: Bids placed in auctions are binding. The winner of an auction is obligated to pay for the product.
Seller Payouts and Fees
Seller payouts are calculated automatically.
- The service fee is automatically deducted before payout
- Payouts are made via bank transfer
- Payouts are typically processed 14 days after order completion
- The statutory 14-day withdrawal period may affect the payout timing
- It is normal for sales and related payouts to occur in different calendar months
💶 Minimum Payout
Funds in the seller's account are paid out when the balance exceeds €50. If the balance remains below €50, the funds will be carried over to the next payout.
💡 Example of Commission Calculation (Important for Sellers)
- At the beginning of the month, a seller sells one product for €50
- During the month, sales grow and total sales reach €5,000
- Since the seller's total monthly sales exceed €3,000, the applicable commission is 4.5%
- This commission rate applies to all completed sales for that month
- Payouts are made after the statutory withdrawal period, so the payout may occur the following month
