🏭 What is Finnfabrik?

Finnfabrik is a Finnish marketplace and auction platform that connects buyers and sellers.

Finnfabrik acts as a technical platform and does not sell products itself or act as a party in transactions between buyers and sellers.

Buying on Finnfabrik is easy and transparent:

1. Browse products or auctions
2. Add a product to your cart or place a bid in an auction
3. Complete your purchase at checkout

📋 How to Buy on Finnfabrik

💳 Payments

Payments are made securely online using the payment methods available at checkout.

Available payment options may include online banking, card payment and bank transfer.

For larger B2B, wholesale and export transactions, buyers and sellers may agree on alternative payment arrangements, such as Letter of Credit (L/C), Cash Against Documents (CAD), or Documents Against Acceptance (D/A).

Specific payment terms are agreed between the buyer and seller and may involve their respective banks or financial institutions.

💶 Minimum Purchase Amount

The minimum purchase amount on Finnfabrik is €10. Orders below €10 cannot be completed.

📦 Delivery and Pickup

Finnfabrik primarily operates on a pickup-based model.

• Pickup is the default option. Buyer and seller agree on pickup directly.
• Delivery or shipping can be agreed separately between the seller and buyer.
• For wholesale and export sales, sellers may specify EXW (Ex Works) where appropriate.
• Unless otherwise agreed, the buyer should arrange pickup with the seller and collect the goods within 14 days after payment.
• Delivery and shipping costs are not included in the product price unless otherwise stated in the listing or agreed between the buyer and seller.

If the goods are not collected within the agreed deadline, the buyer and seller should resolve the matter directly. Finnfabrik is not a party to the transaction and is not responsible for storage or collection.

🔄 Returns and Cancellations

Returns and cancellations are handled directly by the seller in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

• Consumer purchases are subject to applicable Finnish and EU consumer protection laws.
• Where applicable, consumers generally have a statutory right of withdrawal, subject to exceptions.
• Auction items, custom-made products, services and certain other products may be subject to specific rules or exceptions.
• Always contact the seller before returning a product.

🛡️ Disputes and Buyer Protection

If there is a problem with an order, contact the seller first. The seller is responsible for fulfilling the order and handling any issues.

If the matter cannot be resolved, buyers may open a dispute through Finnfabrik in accordance with the Dispute & Buyer Protection Policy.

Finnfabrik may review information and provide technical or administrative assistance, but does not act as a court, mediator, referee, arbitrator or decision-maker in disputes between buyers and sellers.

📈 Selling on Finnfabrik

Finnfabrik supports two types of sellers:

• Business Sellers: Businesses registered in Finland, including sole traders, with a valid Finnish Business ID (Y-tunnus). Can use fixed-price listings and auctions. Free to list — no listing or monthly fees.
• Private Sellers: Private individuals without a Business ID. Auctions only. First 3 active auctions are free, then €5 per additional auction.

Products are added through the seller's control panel. When you create a product, you choose whether it is a fixed-price listing or an auction at the time of publishing.

• Fixed-price listing: The product is sold at a set price. Buyers can purchase it immediately.
• Auction: Buyers place bids during the auction. The highest valid bid normally determines the purchase price when the auction ends, subject to any Reserve Price and the auction terms. If the Reserve Price is not met, the auction does not result in a sale at the lower bid amount.

🏆 Creating an Auction

Sellers can create auctions directly from their seller panel.

How to create an auction:

1. Go to the seller panel → Add new product
2. Select "Auction" as the product type
3. Set a starting price (required)
4. (Optional) Set a Reserve Price — the minimum price you are willing to accept
5. (Optional) Set a Buy Now Price — allowing immediate purchase at a set price
6. Set the auction duration (recommended 7–14 days)
7. Publish the listing

🔄 Auction or Fixed Price — Choose One

Each product listing can use one sales method at a time: either Fixed Price or Auction.

⚠️ Want to use both? Create two separate listings with separate stock quantities where applicable.

💰 Seller Payouts and Fees

The sales commission is automatically deducted before payout.

• Seller funds are paid via bank transfer.
• Payout is generally made after order completion, subject to any applicable cancellation, withdrawal, return, chargeback or payment-processing period.
• It is normal for sales and related payouts to occur in different calendar months.

💶 Minimum Payout

Funds in the seller's account are paid out when the available balance reaches €50 or more. If the balance remains below €50, the funds will be carried over to the next payout.

💡 Example of Commission Calculation

• The seller's sales at the beginning of the month total €50.
• During the month, the seller's total sales increase to €5,000.
• Since the seller's total monthly sales exceed €3,000, the applicable commission rate is 4.5%.
• The 4.5% rate applies to all completed sales covered by the commission for that month.
• Payout is made after the applicable periods, so the payout may occur in the following month.
